From Hops: Unusual hops

• Don’t sleep on Idaho Gem. Idaho gem and strata, that is a combo made in heaven and then you get a better idea what gem is like.  I always go heavy Idaho gem so I’d say 60-40. whirlpool: it also has a good amount of survivable flavors/aromas similar to Idaho 7

From Hops: Reverse Engineering Cryo Pop

• A blend of 46% Idaho 7 / 25% Citra / 24% Loral / 5% Talus is closest to TRI-2304CR
• a blend of 65% Idaho 7 / 33% Mosaic / 2% Citra maximizes each “survivable” compound level.

From Thiols: Contains No Juice Hazy IIPA

• 2-Row Malt for Base, 25% all wheat, incl. high protein red wheat from Mecca Grade.  Mash Hopping with US Cascade Hops
• Whirlpool at 175, 2 Kg of Idaho 7 Full Spectrum Plasma & 0.5 lbs. / bbl Simcoe
• Ferment with Tropics yeast at 68 deg.
• Dry Hop 5 lbs / bbl with blend of Mosaic, Citra Cryo, Waimea & Nelson hops.

From Hop combos: Misc. Pairings

• Apricot/Pineapple: R- I’ve used YQH-1320 (Elani) with a 50/50 blend of eldo and 1320 and it was apricot/pineapple juice. Def a big fan and am going to be using it more. It was a hazy dipa. Just a couple ibus introduced in the whirlie introduced by .15 lbs per bbl of Idaho 7. Then a big dry hop of 4lbs per bbl split between 1320 and Eldo.

• Idaho 7 and galaxy play well together, especially with mosaic
• Too much Idaho 7 can be have a harsh bitterness
• W.pool do a 3:1 ratio citra to Idaho
• Citra and mosaic amplify each other and then when you add a touch of galaxy or Idaho it just gets boosted
• 65-70% Simcoe
• round out with Idaho 7
• touch of chinoook
• early harvest simcoe and idaho 7 are fruitiest

From West Coast IPA: Burke Gilliam

• Idaho 7 and galaxy play well together, especially with mosaic. Too much Idaho 7 can be have a harsh bitterness
